Int'l tax expert joins Fulbright's estate practice

Heilborn ditches own shingle to join up with law firm Fulbright & Jaworkski. In a move calculated to attract more ultra-high-net-worth clients with juicy trans-jurisdictional planning problems to resolve, law firm Fulbright & Jaworkski has lured high-profile attorney Stephanie Heilborn away from her own firm to a partnership in its trust and estate practice.
Heilborn joins Fulbright as a partner -- less than 10 years out of law school.
Complex strategies
"Stephanie's great passion and skill have attracted some of the world's wealthiest families and largest financial institutions as clients," says Phil Michaels, head of Fulbright's New York trusts and estates practice.
Heilborn has had a hand in creating estate plans for private clients with assets of between $20 million and $4 billion, and she has administered estates valued at over $500 million. She's especially adept at complex strategies touching on international tax and estate-planning matters, according to Fulbright.
After graduating from law school in 2000, Heilborn spent seven years as an associate in Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy, and about 22 months at her own firm, Heilborn LLC.
New York-based Fulbright's Trusts and Estates Department provides a range of estate-planning and estate-administration services for U.S. domestic and international high-net-worth clients. -FWR
